Entering End of Term Comments and Grades follows a similar procedure to the Indicator periods.


End of term reporting will consist of these steps:

1.  Teachers enter a blurb for each class.

2.  Teachers enter a grade and comment for each student.

3.  Coaches & dorm parents enter comments for those team or dorm members assigned to them. 

 


***It is strongly advised that any comment is first authored in Word or Docs and then copied and pasted into Veracross.


To enter comments for each student:


1.  Scroll to your class in the Faculty Portal.  For a sports team, choose the "Teams" tab.  For a dorm, choose "Other Classes."


2.  Access the Grades and Comments page in one of two ways:

    Option One:

    Mouseover "More." 





    Click "Report Cards."

Option Two:

        Click on your class.

        Choose the "Grades and Comments" tab

        



3.  Choose a student.  (It will default to the first student alphabetically by last name).



4. Core academic classes then enter a numeric grade in the grade field, located in the right side of the window.  Extra classes and electives, choose a grade from the dropdown.


Core classes will see previous term grades and the grade from their gradebook within this window.





5.  Comments can be typed, or, preferably, pasted into the Comment field below.  Be sure you are working in the correct tab for this term.





If you click away after entering the comment, you should see the formatting bar briefly flash green.  This is an indication that the comment has been saved.




7.  Once you have finished entering student comments, you should paste your blurb in the provided space.  To do this, first click on the "Class Curriculum" button toward the top of the page.



8.  Then paste your blurb in the indicated space.


9.  Finally, click the "Save Curriculum" button when you are finished.
