The following are the setup instructions for the OpenPath controlled access system for Apple iOS and Android based devices. 


1) Email helpdesk@indianmountain.org and request an activation email.


2) Open the email from OpenPath on your phone. Follow the instructions to download and install the app. 


3) Once the app is downloaded and starts it will ask for permissions such as if you would like it to use Bluetooth & Location Services. 

Bluetooth & Location Services MUST be enabled for the app to function properly!

4) After that, the app will configure itself. 


5) Android Users: For convenience the app can be set to run in the background. This will require you to open the app less often to make sure it is running. To save battery power you can set the app to not run in the background. This may require you to open the app more frequently for it to be running when you need to enter a door.

TIPS: 

You do not need to have your phone out to open a door. It just needs to be with you, turned on, and the app running. Tap any of the readers on campus to open the door. 

We also recommend opening the app first thing in the morning to make sure it is running on your phone. It may have gone to sleep overnight or shut down due to an update.
